A Detailed Guide to Using the ColdProxy API
This guide explains the options available through the ColdProxy API and how to use them effectively.
- Plan Information
This option displays the data of your plan, including:
- Plan status (active or inactive).
- Server data.
- Number of ports available.
- Username and password.
- Usage
This section shows the details of your plan’s consumption. For example, if the plan is GB-based, it displays:
- Total plan capacity (in GB).
- Amount used.
- Remaining amount.
Note: “GB-based” means that the plan usage is measured in gigabytes (GB). In other words, your data consumption is calculated based on the total amount of traffic you use.
- Plans
This option displays all available plans.
- Proxies in User: Pass Format (Proxies - Username: Password)
This option generates a list of proxies in the (username: password) format.
Through the API link, you can modify the following:
- Change the number of proxies returned by modifying the value `limit=10`. You can choose the number of proxies you want, from 1 to 5000 proxies.
- Change the protocol from HTTP to SOCKS by changing `protocol=http` to `protocol=socks5`, or vice versa (via the API link).
- Proxies in IP Authentication Format (Proxies - IP: Port)
This option generates a list of proxies without using a username and password, using IP authentication.
Through the API link, you can modify the following:
- Increase the number of proxies by modifying `limit=10`. You can choose the number of proxies you want, from 1 to 5000 proxies.
- Countries, States & Cities
This feature is only available in Premium Geo Target plans. It allows you to obtain a list of countries, states, or cities targeted by the proxy.
Note:
You can change the country by modifying the value `country=US` to any other country code (e.g., Germany = DE) via the States link.
Example:
- Internet Service Providers (ISPs)
This option displays the available telecommunications companies in a specific country or city. If the service is supported in the region, a list of providers will be displayed; otherwise, only the message "OK" will appear.
Example:
- Authorized IPs (Auth IP)
This option allows the user to manage the IP addresses authorized to use the proxy, including:
- Setting a single IP.
Example: To set only one IP, delete the `{Your second IP}` part and enter your IP in `authip&ips[]=`.
- Adding multiple IPs.
Example: To add a second IP along with the first, replace `{Your second IP}` with the new IP.
- Deleting or replacing IP addresses.
You can delete or replace them using the same link.
You can also add more than 2 IPs:
Add a new segment (`&ips[]={Your third IP}`) for each additional IP in the same way.
Example:
- Password Change (Password)
- This option allows you to automatically change the proxy password to a random one.
- The user cannot specify the new password themselves.
Note:
Whenever you want to verify that you have successfully added something new, you can check using the info link.
